Stone Sentinel
Dragon of Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo, Sri Lanka, 2019
Dragons, or Nagas—shape-shifting beings who command the elements—symbolize transformation and wisdom. In Buddhist tradition, dragons often serve as protective symbols, warding off evil spirits and negative energy.
In this work, the mythical creature becomes a guardian of fragile ecosystems, echoing Asian beliefs in earth-protecting spirits.
DETAILS
Limited edition: 77 copies.
The photograph was taken on 35 mm film, resulting in a unique colour reproduction and grainy texture in the impressionists way.
All images are unframed, printed on Museum Matte Hahnemuehle 310 gsm paper with 3 cm borders. This paper has a texture and colour gamut similar to the classic barite photo paper used in past decades for exhibition photo printing.
The lower right corner bears the print number and the artist’s signature.
Made to order.
Prices may rise as the edition nears completion.
